The Linwood Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization designed for the sole purpose of paying it forward to our school and its students. We pride ourselves on our commitment to come to the aid of those in need. Therefore, we are determined to reach as many as we can as fast as we can. We encourage others to take part in our endeavor to give as we’ve received.
In 1999, some former students of Linwood High School formed the Linwood High School Alumni Association. Founders were Pastor Danny Harris, Emma W. Redding, Charlie Vaughan, Charlie Vaughan, Earl J. Washington and Deloris Robinson Vaughan.
Our initial goal was to give four scholarships per year, which would consist of two Seniors and two Eighth Graders. We are so grateful that we have accomplished our goal and succeeded it. We are now able to give five scholarships per year thanks to the faithfulness of God and our caring members. We now have four Chapters; the National chapter in Misssissippi, Los Angeles, CA Chapter, Chicago Chapter and Indianapolis Chapter. We are still working toward establishing Chapters in other areas.
